Muhammad Ali purchased a tract of land in Pennsylvania and built a compound and training facility in 1972, and was actively present there until c. 1980. He trained for some of his most famous fights here, like Rumble in the Jungle in 1974 and Thrilla in Manila in 1975. The camp also had many famous visitors during that time as well, like Elvis Presley, Andy Warhol, etc.
