"Muhammad Ali earned his fame fighting opponents in the ring. He earned our respect fighting for his principles. He earned our admiration for fighting injustice. He earned our sympathy, fighting a disease. He earned a place in history, as one of the most monumental figures of the modern era, by living his life according to his six core principles of confidence, conviction, dedication, giving, respect, and spirituality. He changed it for the better. This is my tribut to him, from one Louisvillian to another. He was, and will forever remain, the People's Champion."
