The Olympic Boxing tournament finals were held on September 5, 1960. Americans Cassius Clay, Wilbert McClure, and Eddie Crook were those of the U.S. Olympic Boxing team in the finals to box for gold medals.
At the end of the day, they were each Olympic Gold medalists. Clay fought and defeated Polish light-heavyweight fighter Zbigniew Pietryzykowski, Eddie Crook defeated middleweight Tadeusz Walasek of Poland, and Wilbert McClure beat light-middleweight Carmelo Bossi of Italy.
