The Olympic Centre was comprised of several styles of architecture, meant to merge the classical and modern styles of Italy. Some games like wrestling were hosted in ancient examples of Italian architecture like the Basilica of Maxentius, seen in this image. While others, like boxing and basketball, were held in new buildings like the Palazzetto dello Sport.
