Joe Frazier vs. Muhammad Ali Commemorative Pin attached to Miniature Boxing Gloves, 1971
A metal pin with Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier's faces in black and white to commemorate the date and location of their first fight. The pin is attached to miniature black and white boxing gloves. This pin was sold at Madison Square Garden during the fight.
Donated by George Kalinsky in 2015.
While memorabilia is sold at most sporting events, the miniature boxing gloves shown here are significant not only historically, but sentimentally. Presently, a staple of the Muhammad Ali Center gift store are miniature boxing gloves with our name and logo printed on them.
