The Muhammad Ali Center

As the quintessential champion of compassion, Muhammad Ali's mission in life was to ensure that everyone he met felt that they belonged and that he cared about them. Aside from being compassionate, Ali wanted others to do the same and he hoped to inspire them to do so. To inspire others to act in kindness towards one another and be as great as they could be, Muhammad and Lonnie Ali opened the Muhammad Ali Museum and Education Center in 2005 in their hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. The center has served as a gathering place for people from all walks of life to learn and hopefully be inspired by the life and legacy of Ali. It also serves as a homebase for many Muhammad-inspired initiatives, including the newly released Muhammad Ali Index.
