This article in the Sports Illustrated issue celebrating Muhammad Ali's 50th birthday begins with a snapshot of Ali, then Clay, driving with Wilma Rudolph through Louisville, Kentucky. The article focuses largely on young Cassius, but does not leave out his accomplishments as an amatuer boxer, professional boxer, his conscientious objection to the Vietnam War, and other Ali stories. The article ends with a snapshot of Ali, two months before his birthday, sitting at his home in Berrien Springs, Michigan dreaming of winning another world championship title as a 50-year-old.
