Twenty-five years after they first met in the ring, Sports Illustrated examines the ongoing rivalry between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier in the article, "The Fight's Over, Joe."
In the beginning, they had been friendly. Frazier had even helped Ali get his boxing license back. True to Ali's nature, he began goading Frazier as their first bout approached, and a bitterness set in. Though their stories have many parallels, the rivalry continued into their later years, especially on Frazier's part.
